For Ashling's 8th Birthday we went to Disneyland with her best friend, Emily. We even got to miss a day of school to go. We had a lot of fun. Emily experienced her first big kid rides and she realized that they were actually fun.

Skiing at Eagle Point
We stopped in Beaver Utah on our way home from our trip up to Utah County. We stayed in a condo that was right on the slopes. In the morning we got up early ready to ski. Ali was excited to ski somewhere she had never been since all her previous experience skiing has been at Snow Valley.
Annika is quite the little skier. She does her best to stay up with everyone. She was officially skiing all the blues and doing just fine keeping up with mommy. She also loved it!
It was the last weekend of the ski season and they had an ameteur race set up. Cameron, Ali and Ashling decided to enter. It was a banked slalom race.
Here are the videos I took of a portion of their races.
They came away with some serious loot due to their great racing skills. Good job Cameron and girls. IT was fun just to see them racing. I loved skiing with my family and we can't wait until next year when we will ski again!

Visit with the "S" family
While in Utah we visited with our good friends in Eagle Mountain. We did a lot of things including swimming in the Lehi pool, going to lunch at Tucanos, the girls hiked up a hill by their house and we also went "house hunting" to look at all the new model homes around there. We also had this outdoor fire pit which was great fun for all the fire lovers in my family. The kids got along great and we had fun playing some games. Ina and I may have talked almost all night like we were 14 again. I enjoyed staying with them.

Ear Piercing and Mall Walking
We wanted to see the new mall in Salt Lake and so we took the girls shopping. Part of the shopping included getting their ears pieced. Ear piercing is a delicate business between soccer playing and Nutcracker dancing there are only a few months a year when this even can actually take place. The girls were over the top excited and couldn't wait!
They didn't cry and enjoyed sporting their new ears as we walked through the mall. Cameron was excited about the architecture and the river with fish swimming through it.
It was a fun day and we were able to bring home gifts for Ellie and Carter who both had birthdays near the time we were there.
