Progress of the House

Every time Cameron goes to Utah he is charged with getting pictures of the house.  Here are some pictures.  They are in the process of doing the stucco and the rock.
This is a picture of the garage door... with a window.

Thistle in the backyard... this might be hard to get rid of but it sure is pretty in bloom.
back of the house... one adjustment we made was to make windows on the right higher like they are and we love how it looks!
front of the house... rock is being installed.

spring show

Ali decided to start taking dance in January and she started in teen ballet and in Jazz 2.  Ashling has been taking Ballet B and lyrical all year.  They both had a recital in June.
It is always fun to perform and to watch the kids perform.

Hike to the top of Keller Peak

After weeks of packing and packing and doing nothing else it was great to get out as a family and go for a hike.  We hiked up Keller Peak from about Hungover wall to the top.  It was kind of a long hike for our time frame.  Perhaps the most excitement was when I ran down the road and almost stepped on what I thought was a rattle snake.  It ended up being a gopher snake and later Annika did step on it while she was running down the hill.  Cameron carried it off the road but it looked pretty bad for the wear...

Trip to Oxnard

Cameron had to work in Oxnard and we went with him.  We enjoyed a very cold beach day and even the pool was pretty chilly but the kids enjoyed it.  It was nice to get away from packing for a couple days.

Ali's first time to the temple

I think that taking my daughter to the temple for her first time to do baptisms for the dead was quite a treat.  I loved how excited she was for her temple recommend and how excited she was to go.  I spent hours one morning trying to find just one name for her to take to the temple and found a family... although just one female.  Also Grandpa Brown had some names for her to take and so she was ready.  I was glad to attend with her for her first time.
