Trip to Seattle

My sister and her husband moved to Seattle area which is where David and Samantha and my dad, Natalya and Amanda already live.  After all their adventures all summer I was quite jealous and wanted to go and visit too.  So I made plans to go to Seattle and at the last minute Cameron decided to join me.

The first day Stacey picked us up and we went out for seafood right by the airport... the fish was all you could eat and David and Cameron ate all they could eat.... at least they tried to as much as possible...

Later we enjoyed hanging out in the backyard at Dad and Natalya's house... fun times!  I am glad I got to spend time with my Northwest family!

First Day of School

Ali started middle school at Mary Putnam Henck Intermediate school.  I might have cried a little after I dropped her off...

Ashling started 3rd grade and has an excellent teacher and family friend, Mrs. Strebel.  No tears here.

Annika started her 3rd year of Preschool at Whitaker Learn and Play.  She didn't even want to say goodbye to me.

Oxnard and Santa Barbara

Cameron needed to go on a work trip to Oxnard and Santa Barbara and the kids and I decided to tag along with him.  We really enjoyed our time.  The pictures are in the reverse order.  This first picture is of Annika in the pool as we spent our last morning while Cameron attended to sales calls around Oxnard.  The kids loved the pool and were content to spend a lot of time in it while I read.  (It was a little chilly for me in the pool.)

After Cameron attended to some sales calls north of Santa Barbara he met us in Santa Barbara and we went to the beach for the afternoon.  It was fun for the kids and I enjoyed the sand as once again it was pretty chilly.

Cameron dropped us off in the morning in Santa Barbara at the zoo.  We looked at all the animals in the fairly small zoo and really enjoyed ourselves.  After the zoo we walked down to the pier which was about a mile and a half away.  It was fun to explore the city while Cameron worked.

We enjoyed a beautiful walk along the beach after Cameron was done with work.  The sunset was beautiful and the girls enjoyed drawing in the sand.

The first afternoon was spent in the pool while Cameron worked and then we went to a seafood place down by the harbor.
